TRAVEL ART - Archive, Postbox 16, Figuig, Morocco
For the duration of a three month trip to the Saharan oasis Figuig, the same postcard was sent to many international artists. Each postcard was then modified individually in the style of marked holiday postcards. On the back of the postcard was the invitation to send a modified postcard of the artist’s home town back to postbox 16 in Figuig.
54 postcards were received from artists in 11 countries around the world. They were then topically grouped together and exhibited in the local post office.
